Thirty Days Until Victory at Moscow Economic School

During the month of April, students at MES celebrated Russia’s Victory Day with an all school continuing event called “Thirty Days Until Victory.”

These events included “Voice of the Victory, “Heroes,” “This is important to know,” “Poems about the war,” and “Eternal Regiment of MES.” Every day we published the events on the MES radio and on Instagram. All this information gathered over the last 30 days has become the foundation for the Map of Victory project. We made 10 videos for Instagram, 15 radio programs, and 10 radio programs about the Eternal Regiment.

On the 26 of April MES organized a concert for veterans of the Great War. The concert’s theme, of course, was Victory. Many students took part in the performance and veterans from the Odintsovo and Kokoshkino districts attended. This was a CAS project from the Diploma Program.

Students of the Odintsovo Campus shared their impressions on the events:

“The concert was cool! I think It’s very important to remember that war, because the world didn’t know a worse thing that lasted 4 years and killed millions of people” Misha, 4th grade.

“I was very impressed with the performance of the 3 grade. The song itself and the performance were so touching that tears came to my eyes” Anna, 9 grade

“Kazaki”. It is a nice song and I liked it very much. I believe that the veterans liked it too. Next year I would like to dance for Veterans’ Day” Vlada, 4th grade

“I took part in the action “Victory Day” for the first time. I was very impressed by the work of students and teachers of the school, their reverent attitude towards the history of their families. The main criteria for the work done is the tears in eyes of the veterans during the assembly” Artem, Homeroom teacher, 5th grade
