The PYP exhibition

The 4th Grade at MES just completed their annual PYP Exhibition. This year the overall theme was “How the World Works”, and the class chose the topic of “Handmade World”. Within this topic, groups of students researched five different areas: Water, Air, Plants, Animals, and Rocks and Minerals. Students prepared a speech in English as well as presentations, experiments, videos, and slide shows in Russian. The 4th Grade students responded to their experience with the following summaries:

“I learned about water. I think that water is the most important thing in my life. But also, air is important in my life. In the PYP Exhibition we did a lot of experience and we did a good presentation.” - Oprishko

“It was very difficult because of the text and I was nervous. And it was also hard to do the presentation.” -  Zohar

“We had the PYP exhibition. I think it was great. In the PYP exhibition we learned how to work in groups. Our group was great because we had tea, strawberries, apples and balloons.” -  Marzaganova

“I think PYP is interesting, funny and new. In the PYP exhibition we learned, explore and we found new information. I learned how to explore!” -  Solovyova

“I was in the group Rocks and Minerals. It was difficult to do a presentation. But the most difficult was to remember the speech. All was good.” -  Semenov

“I learned about water. I think that I did a great presentation. In the PYP exhibition, we had chosen the topic handmade world.” -  Girko
