Visiting Mukha-Tsokotukha

On March 3, 2021, the older Kindergarten students at MES “Presnya” campus held their concert. The play was based on K.I. Chukovsky’s “Little Fly So Sprightly”. The concert was a gift to their mothers and grandmothers for International Women’s Day. The students poured their heart and soul into their performance and it paid off as they were all superb.

After the show, the students shared their impressions of the concert:

“I was Mukha-Tsokotukha. I greeted all the guests. I really liked meeting the bees as they brought pretzels and honey for everyone” – Sofia M.

“I was a bee in the concert. I invited Mukha-Tsokotukha, as well as everyone else, to eat pretzels. Miroslava and I danced to a happy song. I loved how beautifully the bugs danced and how everyone clapped at the end” – Sofia S.

“I was a grasshopper. I danced really well, and gave my mom Gerber flowers, which I made myself out of colored paper. I enjoyed the part with the butterflies” – Georgy K.

“I was a bug. I went to visit Mukha and drank tea” – Aleksey S.

“I played a spider in the concert. I sang a song about butterflies and about mama. I really liked when we danced with our mothers to “Forward 4 Steps” – Daniel A.

“I was the blacksmith. We kept hitting the anvil with the hammer and the foil started breaking off. It felt real and it was great! To be honest, I liked absolutely everything” – Kirill I.

“I played one of the bugs. Everyone clapped when I read my poem! It made me very happy, because I was a very important bug” – Pavel T.

“I played a horned beetle who was strong and rich. I danced, sang, read a poem and drank tea at Mukha’s” – Stepan N.

«I was a snail. Mukha and I drank tea together and had lots of fun with mama and papa. Happy Holidays to all and I hope everyone has a great holiday” – Anna N.

“I really liked our songs, as well as the beginning when we entered the concert hall. I was a bee and I brought Mukha-Tsokotukha honey, which was a present from Grandma bee. That’s when we sang our song about grandma!” – Miroslava O.

«Spring Kaleidoscope»

Our young Kindergarten students explored the subject “Who We Are”. During our latest research, students became familiar with the main parts of the human body including the senses that help them see, hear and feel. Through their many experiments, each student learned that we need to take care of ourselves and our health. Our students also learned how they are similar to and different from each other, as well as what physical and social changes occur as they grow up and what emotions they might experience in different situations. Their weeks of research and hard work culminated in the very festive concert “Spring Kaleidoscope”. During the show, each student demonstrated their ability to recite poetry, sing songs in both Russian and English, dance and play musical instruments.

This is what the students had to say about their concert:

“I really liked giving our mothers flowers. We made these flowers ourselves out of colored paper. Karlsson even came to our concert and we flew to the roof to drink tea, and then he gave us presents” – Emil V.

“I danced and sang during the concert. Karlsson gave us presents” – Aleksey G.

“I like singing songs. My mama helped me to learn the songs” – Artyom T.

“All the mothers danced at the concert. I like dancing with my mom. I also liked when we gave the mothers the flowers that we made ourselves. My mom gave me a kiss.” – Taisia D.

“I was happy that everybody came to our concert. My mama and papa, as well as the other mamas and papas, came to see our show. I tried really hard to play the xylophone, dance the flower waltz and recite my poems”. – Albina S.

“I enjoyed playing the triangle, singing songs and reciting the poems at the concert. I also liked giving my mom and grandma their present” – Amelia D.

“I liked how everyone was sitting there looking at me and the other students during the concert” – Daniel S.

“I liked everyone’s costume. They were all so beautiful, amazing and fun. Everyone did a great job. There was a propeller on Karlsson’s back. I danced with spoons. While I was reciting my poem about papa, I got a little bit confused, but I quickly corrected myself. I also liked how the fathers had to dance without getting up from their chair. I even clapped when they were finished. I really liked that, it was funny” – Maxim S.

“I liked how the papas danced. I also liked how I danced, recited my poem and sang songs about mama and grandma. I tried to sing loud for everyone to hear” – David S.
