Bear Cub at MES

On March 3, 2021, the Moscow Economic School held the Olympiad Russian Bear in its two campuses.

For many students, linguistics resembles a set of boring and complicated rules. Since 2000, the Russian Bear has made a real breakthrough to challenge this misunderstanding and introduce students to the beauty of linguistic sciences.

Annually, this contest attracts over 1,5 million participants from all over Russia and dozens of foreign countries. Russian Bear is the most popular contest in the Russian language among the MES students. Students from grades 2-11 participate in this contest without any preliminary selection. Although the tasks are designed in fun format, to become its winner is not as easy since behind each fun task there is a sophisticated and deep meaning requiring a substantial knowledge of the Russian language, excellent concentration skills and an acute linguistic flair.

Last but not least, an open mindset is another key element to success in the Russian Bear.
